Our Social Commitment

At Nexa Guarding, we are aware of the fact that great security is more than just systems and uniforms; it is about the people involved. The people who come at any hour of the day and night just to ensure that others are safe, who stay awake when everyone else sleeps, and who become reliable, dedicated, and are calm on every shift that they work. These are the people whom we feel should be treated and paid fairly if they deserve it because of their work.

Although we are not the ones who have got the Living Wage Foundation certification, we still support the cause of security employees earning more than what is set as the minimum wage. They should have wages that they can comfortably live with instead of finding it hard to make ends meet. This is why we put in a lot of effort to make sure that our pay is decent and commensurate with the level of responsibility of the job.

Real Living Wage

The Real Living Wage decided annually by the Living Wage Foundation is not a lawful demand but an option. Nevertheless, it is a very impactful one. It is established on the estimation of actual needs and covers the expenses of living, such as rent, food, and transport. The national rate is budgeted to be ВЈ12.60 while in London it is ВЈ13.85 effective from October 2024. We have not yet been officially accepted into the program but we have confidence in its principles. Unfair pay entails worse results, while fair pay creates better teams.

When people are treated fairly, supported, and given recognition for the work they do, it can be observed from their attitude, performance, and bond among the clients. Therefore, fair payment is not only good for our employees but also for our business.

Our Journey to Net Zero

We do not claim we are perfect, on the contrary we are still making progress. We are the kind of the company that always listens, learns and tries to make improvements in the right direction. In the near future, we are pursuing the objective of how to bring our earning closer to the Real Living Wage standard. First and foremost, treating our people in the right way is equally important to us as treating our clients well.
